An exchange with France

A General Review

Three weeks ago, we went to France in a exchange with the Molière School in Villneuve d’Ascq. The exchange lasted ten days, of which two days were on the bus. It was an unforgettable experience, rewarding and pleasant.

We really enjoyed the company, the French students were incredible. The activities were interesting, specially the bowling and the “char à voile”. Our French partners also took us to different places, such as “Inquest” or a “Laser Game”.

The only things we didn’t like were the extremely long trip and the clue game we did in Lille, but even those were bearable.

In conclusion, we really enjoyed this experience. We would certainly do it again.

What do we do on our free time?

We have done a survey among our classmates (15 pupils) asking what activities they enjoyed doing on their free time. Aside from hobbies, we also included extra curricular activities they enjoyed doing such as different sports in clubs. Here are the results:

We have arrived to the following conclusions:

-Considering the fact that the total of boys is 8 and the total of girls is 7, we can observe that while everyone chats, listens to music and goes out with friends, only boys regularly do gaming.
-Reading isn't popular at all.
-A few people practice photography or cinematography, and almost everyone watches TV or series online.
-Practically everyone from both sexes enjoy practicing sports.
-Skate, longboard and scooter are especially popular with boys.

THE HUNGER GAMES students' reviews:

The Hunger Games, directed by Gary Ross, is a Sci-Fi/Adventure film released on the 3rd March 2012. I enjoyed a lot this film, it is not one of my favourites, but the cast, the setting, the visual effects, the screenplay, etc. impressed me. I know that this summer the second part will be released. I am waiting anxiously for it!

This movie we have recently seen called "The Hunger Games" is an action/futuristic film that I think has changed the way of thinking of lots of people, including elderly people. This film has a very special way of seeing the future.
I think it's a good movie that reflects where this society is going and how brutality and cruelty are part of the human kind.
I have also seen a little bit of criticism about the differences between the poor and the rich class in the present society.
That's my opinion about this movie, but I would like to add that it is not a great film to see again and again, after all, it  is a Hollywood movie.

I think that this movie is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The idea is very original, and the film has many elaborated scenes. I can't find any weak points for that film. Maybe, the message that Suzanne Collins (the writer of The Hunger Games book) wants to give us is how the world is today and how it was in the last two hundred years, plenty of wars, revolutions and dictatorships.

This film is about a view of our world in the future, which will be divided into 12 districts. Every year the rich people organize a reality show where they choose two people from each district. They have to fight to win, the winner is the last who is alive. In the last reality, district 12 was composed by a boy and a girl. They were the last ones alive, they were in love so they decided to kill themselves at the same time but the organizers announced they were the winners.
In my opinion, it is a very good movie to watch. I recommend it to the ones who like adventure and love movies.
The part I liked the most was when the organizers said that they could both win and they didn't have to commit suicide.

It wasn't the first time I watched this film, I had already seen it few months before. But the truth is that I still find it amazing.
The film is very original because of the idea of the districts, the high level of one of them and the others are poor. There are some action parts, for example when the tributes of each district fight to survive. But there are also some romantic moments between Peeta and Katniss, the tributes of district 12, who finally are the victors of the Hunger Games.
It's a fantastic film, one of my favourites. But I am aware that there are some moments with a little bit of violence. On the other hand, the moments when Katniss takes care of Peeta are so cute. I strongly recommend it!

The Hunger Games is a film of adventures, with a part of love.
In my opinion, it is very interesting because during the film there is a lot of action.
My favourite part is when Katnis and Peeta are the last ones and Katins takes a mortal fruit and gives it to Peeta for both eating it in order to commit suicide, and finally the organizers say that the boy and the girl win to avoid their eating the lethal fruit.

The Hunger Games is a film that explains the life of a district in a “possible” future where districts are controlled by rich people.
Rich people give food to the districts but then, each year, every district has to send a girl and a boy to the very famous contest called The Hunger Games where all the boys and girls from each district will be prepared and then sent to a forest where they will have to kill each other until there’s only one left, This one, will be the winner of the hunger games and could return to his district.
In my opinion, it’s a very good film because of the effects and action scenes. Also because of the plot. However, I think it’s so strange that people like to see boys and girls from all ages killing each other to survive.
